Deon Landman, a qualified H.R.A. Farrier, of 21 years experience in the fields of Racing, Endurance and Polo horses. He is up early in the mornings and on the road to his first stable of the day arriving bright and early and cheerful to boot. He encourages his clients and the grooms to take a leaf out of his book and appreciate the dawning of a new day.<br><br> Deon has realized that there is Farrier blood in him. His Great Grandfather was a Farrier Blacksmith in Benoni, many years ago and Deon is very pleased and proud to be carrying on the old tradition. <br><br> Deon qualified at Newmarket race track in Alberton Gauteng, over 21 years ago, He has dealt in the full spectrum of shoeing and his dedication is to improving the movement of the horses and work ability to perform at their ultimate peak. <br><br> In the last twelve years Deon has concentrated on Endurance racing and has worked for some of the top riders for example the Van Niekerk family of Danielskuil. He has worked in Botswana and carried our FEI Endurance work. He has had recently had nine horses go to Beaufort West where seven of which came in the top 5 and one in the top 10. At Fouriesmith he had shod the four horses in the top 10 and the Children’s Best Condition. <br><br> He has been SA Team Farrier for the guys in Endurance racing. <br><br> He was invited to go to Germany and Malaysia as Farrier for the South African team.
